In This book brings together the literature on 100 genera of freshwater ascomycetes and their anamorphs simplifying the work of a student or mycologist studying this group. It is the second of a planned series where an ecological group of fungi are described and illustrated at the genus level. The illustrations are photomicrographs and are used in preference to line diagrams, as the visual images will simplify the task of identification. By illustrating the characteristics with micrographs students can recognize differences between important features.
