C.A. Pearce and K.D. Hyde

In this treatise, the literature on the Phyllachoraceae is reviewed, with an emphasis on the history of the Phyllachoraceae in Australia. The phyllachoraceous genera of Australia are introduced, and the taxonomic characters used to delineate taxa are discussed. In total, more than 1100 specimens of phyllachoraceous taxa have been examined . The 84 acceptable phyllachoraceous taxa from 18 angiosperm families in Australia are described, and illustrated with photomicrographs and distribution maps.
